About Us
We are a small family farm located in the heart of corn and soybean country in Northwest Iowa. While most farms in the area grow grains, our main focus for three decades has been quality forage, mostly for sale to dairy farms.
Our cattle, for the most part, were a sideline that provided an outlet for less than premium forages that weren't suitable for dairy farms. More recently, our harvest process evolved to the extent that nearly all of the forages produced are top quality.
It soon became obvious that our animals were thriving on feedstuffs that were previously reserved for sale to the dairies. Expansion of our forage portfolio, and experimentation with cool and warm season forages, have led to a diet for our animals that yields the delicious, healthy product that we now market to you.
It has been truly incredible to watch our animals thrive on a diet completely void of grains and supplements found in the vast majority of cattle rations.

Of all the things we have learned since the switch to forage fed animals, likely the biggest revelation has been the dramatic increase in animal health.
Our forage blend ration has all but eliminated the need for antibiotics of any kind. The expense associated with treating sick animals and the costs of sick or deceased animals has disappeared. In keeping with this all natural program, we also eliminated the use of hormone implants.
